WebAdvisor for Students
WebAdvisor gives students, staff, alumni, and the community access
to Alpena Community College’s information systems. WebAdvisor also
allows guest users to view information about offered courses at ACC.
Student Nurses Have Successful Poster Presentation
For the second year in a row poster presentations were displayed
that highlighted various areas of health. These areas included
children, maternal and child health, drug use and abuse, mental
health concerns, aging issues, cancer care and issues associated
with handicaps such as deafness and blindness.
Return to Learn at Alpena Community
College
"Return to Learn" is a collaborative initiative between the state of
Michigan and Alpena Community College to encourage adult learners to
return to college to complete a degree.

Student Support Service students and staff enjoy a guided tour
of Stratford, Ontario prior to attending a professional production
of the musical Hello, Dolly!

ACC nursing students provided a special poster
presentation displaying information about a variety of community
health organizations.
ACC Faculty Receive Award for
Increasing Awareness of the Liberal Arts
Four ACC faculty recently received the 2005 Michigan Liberal Arts for
Development Award for Outstanding Innovation.
2004 Volunteer Center Christmas
Wish List
In 2003, nearly 500 area children received gifts, thanks to the
generosity of individuals, groups, and businesses in the Alpena
area. The ACC Volunteer Center anticipates as many donations
this year.

Presidential
Inauguration, April 2, 2004
Dr. Olin H. Joynton was inaugurated as Alpena Community College's
sixth president on April 2, 2004, in a ceremony held in Park Arena.
ACC English Faculty Meet Author
Recently, ACC English Instructors, Denise Hill and Tom Ray visited
with author, Sandra Cisneros at the 2004 Association of Writers and
Writing Programs Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
