Function:         The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies.

Services:         Assistance to victims of fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous material spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters; Blood services; AFES contact (Armed Forces Emergency Services)

Function:
         Providing a comprehensive array of social services which address such major

community  concerns as child abuse/neglect; juvenile delinquency; teenage pregnancy and parenting; child care resource and referral services. Serving Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Iosco, Oscoda and Roscommon counties.

Services:         Foster care, adoption, pregnancy counseling, residential programs for delinquent females and dependent adults.  Limited assessment and counseling services are also offered for families with child abuse/neglect problems.

FOSTER CARE PROGRAM - Contact: James Juckarcz, Phone: (989) 356-4567. Provides temporary living situation for children and teens when there are issues of child abuse or severe delinquency in the home.  Also provides short-term shelter care.
