Appendix A

Policies: Student Rights: ADA:

Administrators and staff who handle matters pertaining to recreation, safety, counseling, financial aid, employment or other co-curricular activities can include a simple statement in their program materials to encourage students with disabilities to contact them directly to discuss their needs, such as: "If students need accommodations, they are welcome to discuss their needs with the program staff." Administrators and staff should contact the Dean of Student Affairs if there are any questions concerning accommodations.

When the need for accommodations has been verified and the Dean of Student Affairs has developed a specific accommodation plan pertaining to non-academic issues, all college employees are obliged to comply with ACC's responsibility to provide accommodations.
