Policies: Academic: Audit

Students desiring to audit courses should declare their intent at the time of registration. Students auditing courses pay the same tuition and fees as those taking courses for college credit. With instructor approval, students may declare audit status for courses during the first week of the semester.

Students must meet appropriate course prerequisites to audit a course. Audit students may take quizzes and examinations with the approval of the instructor.

The audit status is noted on the student's transcript.

A student may not change either from an audit to a credit status or from a credit to an audit status after the first week of the semester. Audited courses will not be used to determine student classification for financial aid or Veterans Benefits purposes. Audited courses do not satisfy course prerequisite requirements or graduation requirements.
