Spring Arbor University to Launch RN-BSN Program in Alpena
SPRING ARBOR, Michigan – Spring Arbor University is partnering
with Alpena Community College to bring an accelerated Bachelor of
Science in Nursing Program for Registered Nurses to the Alpena area.
The Program is designed for experienced Registered Nurses with
limited time and resources who are interested in expanding their
career opportunities.
Recognizing the growing trends in health care, Spring Arbor
University’s RN-BSN Degree completion program offers students a
unique opportunity to specialize in one of three areas:
Management/Leadership, Gerontology, or Parish/Community Nursing. The
integrated specialty area options provide an opportunity to select a
plan of study that blends future career direction with present
personal and professional expertise. Completion of a specialty focus
also promotes career advancement in present work environments while
providing a foundation for graduate studies or specialty
certification.
Courses are held on the campus of Alpena Community College the
same night each week for four hours and are taken in sequence with a
peer group of 12-20 nurses. The nursing courses are completed in
three semesters, lasting approximately 18 months.
Spring Arbor University is accredited by the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools. The RN-BSN Program at Spring
Arbor University is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate
Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington,
