The ACC Hockey team enjoyed its first season
of play during the 2005-06 year and is looking forward to building a
strong program that will become a cornerstone of ACC athletics. If
you would like to be part of our program, contact the school or the
coach for more information.
The ACC men's hockey team is a non-varsity
hockey team that is 100% financed by the participants and local
sponsors. The program is guided by the coach but most decisions and
fundraising are performed by the team and extended participants.
It’s a great opportunity for young people to get involved in the
day-to-day operations of a program. All players are required to
enroll in ACC with a minimum of nine credit hours each semester and
maintain a 2.0 GPA.
The American College Hockey Association is
the national organization that guides the hockey program and offers
qualifying teams a chance at a national tournament. ACC is a
Division III school and plays in the Michigan Athletic Hockey
Conference. The MCHC has a great history of top caliber teams that
have played for the national title in March. The teams ACC faces are
national powerhouses with a history of winning.
During the first year the team was
competitive on most nights and enjoyed some big victories, but none
more enjoyable then the start of a great tradition.
