About ACC: Students

Students attending ACC fall into three categories:

College transfer - About 59 percent of our students plan to transfer to four-year institutions after two years at ACC. These students view ACC as a convenient, economical way to establish a solid foundation for their degree work.

Technical career - Another 35 percent of our students have no intention of pursuing a four-year degree. Instead, they're enrolled in one of our nearly three dozen technical career programs, which are designed to prepare students to succeed in their chosen field after just one or two years of study.

Personal interest - The remaining 6 percent of our students look to ACC to improve their prospects for career advancement or a more fulfilling life. They simply attend a class or two to upgrade their job skills or indulge a personal interest.
